How to disconnect AskYourBooks from your QuickBooks Online account.
You're always in control. You can revoke AskYourBooks access at any time — there are two ways, pick whichever is more convenient.
AskYourBooks is the QuickBooks Online integration operated by AFD Technology Solutions Inc.
Option 1 — From within QuickBooks Online
- Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
- Click the gear icon in the top right, then choose Apps (or My Apps › Apps).
- Find AskYourBooks in the connected apps list.
- Click the Action dropdown next to it, then choose Disconnect.
- Confirm the disconnect.
That's it — you've revoked the authorization from your side. AskYourBooks can no longer read or write to your QuickBooks Online data.
Option 2 — Email us
Send a short email to support@afdtechsolutions.com asking us to disconnect. Include your company name (or the email address tied to your account) so we can find the right connection.
We'll revoke access on our end within one business day and confirm by reply.
What happens after you disconnect
- The OAuth tokens that authorized access to your QuickBooks Online company are immediately and permanently deleted from our secure storage.
- We never keep a copy of your QuickBooks business records. AskYourBooks reads your data on demand to answer a question and does not store your business data on our systems — so there is nothing left to retain once you disconnect.
- Any temporary access token held only in memory to finish an in-progress request expires on its own (typically within an hour) and is never written to disk.
- To delete the basic account details we hold about your engagement (your contact information and connection settings), email privacy@afdtechsolutions.com. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Reconnecting later
If you decide to reconnect, you can re-authorize at any time through the same setup flow you used originally. We never reuse old tokens.
