What we build is an MCP server — a connector built on the Model Context Protocol, the open standard for letting an AI assistant work with a real business system. Because it's a standard rather than a private integration, the same connector answers to every AI that speaks it:

Is there a Fishbowl MCP server or connector for Claude?
Yes. This is a hosted Fishbowl MCP server: one connector that lets Claude, Microsoft Copilot Studio or any MCP-capable AI work with your live Fishbowl Advanced data. We build it, host it and support it for your company.
How do I connect Fishbowl to Claude?
We deploy a dedicated connector for your company at its own web address. In Claude you add it as a custom connector (Settings → Connectors) and sign in with your Microsoft work account. It works in Claude Desktop, on the web and on mobile.
Does the Fishbowl connector work with Microsoft Copilot (Copilot Studio)?
Yes. Add it as a Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool in a Microsoft Copilot Studio agent, and that agent can be published to Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot. It's the same Fishbowl AI integration that works in Claude, so there's nothing to rebuild.
Can the AI create purchase orders and manufacture orders in Fishbowl?
Yes. The connector has 53 actions: 21 that only look things up and 32 that change data, from drafting purchase orders and opening manufacture orders to receiving, moving and counting stock. A new purchase order starts as a draft, so nothing reaches the supplier until you issue it.
Is it safe to give an AI agent access to Fishbowl?
Only people you've granted access through Microsoft can use it, and it acts only when someone asks in a conversation, never on its own or on a schedule. Destructive actions such as delete, scrap, void and close short carry an explicit instruction to restate what will change and wait for your yes, and the Fishbowl permissions on the account the connection uses set the hard limit on what it can touch.
Do I need to run a server or be technical to use it?
No. The Fishbowl MCP server is hosted and maintained for you as a dedicated deployment for your company, so there's no server for you to run. Your team just asks in plain English, in Claude or through a Microsoft Copilot Studio agent.
Do I need the Fishbowl Advanced REST API?
Yes. Your Fishbowl instance needs the Advanced REST API add-on active, which you arrange with Fishbowl directly. You'll also need a dedicated Fishbowl login for the integration, with multi-factor sign-in turned off on that one account.
